Attendance at the competition is open to the public.

Prize

First place local winner competes at the regional level in April, 2015. First place regional winner receives a trip to the NANM National Conference and will compete for scholarship funds up to $2,500.

Requirements

Competitors must be at least 18 years old and no more than 30 years old before July 31, 2015.

Must perform 3 selections from the repertoire list, which includes a major work by an African American composer.

To Enter

To be considered for competition, mail a completed application form with a nonrefundable $35 application fee and proof of age to DMMA, PO Box 763785, Dallas, TX 75376-3785 by December 15, 2014.
