2024 William S. Mitchell Sacred Choral Music Workshop

Greetings!

On behalf of the Dallas Metroplex Musicians’ Association, we are elated to announce the upcoming William S. Mitchell Sacred Choral Music Workshop, to convene Monday through Friday, June 24 - June 28, 2024, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Concert will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 4:30 PM, hosted by Pearly Gate Baptist Church at 6021 University Hills Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75241, Dr. Robbie L. Moore, Pastor.

We excitedly announce the 2024 Clinician as the widely acclaimed Dr. Clark W. Joseph, DMMA’s “2024 Musician of the Year.” Some of Dr. Clark’s many accreditations include Minister of Music & Worship Arts at St. John Church Unleashed, Emmy Award TBAAL Choir Conductor, Debut at Carnegie Hall as Choir Conductor, Gospel Goes Classical Choir Conductor, Minister of Music for One Dallas Choral Union, Gospel Music Workshop of America Academic Division Instructor, composer, and arranger.

DMMA hosted the National Association of Negro Musicians, Incorporated’s National Convention in Dallas last year in lieu of our local gathering. Get ready! Get ready! Get ready! We are inviting you to come and experience the 2024 Workshop and Concert!

Pre-registration is $35.00 per person now through June 10th. Beginning June 11th, regular registration will be $40.00 per person for all registrations. Pre-registration assists us greatly in planning and ensuring the readiness of your music binder upon arrival. Online registration is encouraged. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Dallas Metroplex Musicians’ Association or DMMA, forwarding to DMMA, P. O. Box 763785, Dallas, Texas 75376-3785. Please follow the instructions indicated for online payment. (The online registration form can be printed and forwarded with your payment.)

This endeavor and other events sponsored by DMMA enable us to award scholarships to worthy students pursuing excellence in music. Four scholarships of $1,500 each were awarded during the 2022 Concert.
